History of GPS: Initially, GPS was developed by the Department of Defense in 1973 which designed to support soldiers and military vehicles, aircraft, and vessels in precisely determining their locations worldwide with the help of 30 plus satellites which spreading all over the world. Let’s begin with some historical information about GPS.
GPS Originally designed in the 1960s for military and intelligence applications where encouragement coming from the Soviet spacecraft Sputnik back in 1957. Basically, the global positioning system (GPS) is a combination of network satellites above the planet which orbits the earth at fixed points and traces down signals to anyone on earth with a GPS tracking device.
History of GPS: First device tracking starts in the 1978 period when the first experimental Block-I GPS satellite was launched into space. This satellite system was obviously a successful test and it was made by Rockswell International; and by the end of 1985, few more Block-I satellites had been launched to further confirm the idea of GPS.
Because of an insufficient quantity of satellites, the GPS technology was not fully functional in the early years. Afterward, it was increasing and by Jan. 17, 1994, total 24 satellites were launched and the GPS system was completely functional.
But till now there is some doubt about who should be credited with its creation. We should at least remember four persons who are clearly accompanying the discovery of GPS technology which was ultimately developed by the US Department of Defense to assist the military forces.
GPS has become an important part of our society, impacting our lives in many ways. The vast range of applications of this technology has a bearing on many aspects of society. With many affordable models to satisfy everyone’s preferences and budgets, now’s the best time to be told more about GPS technologies. I guarantee that someday we are going to take all of this without any consideration rather like we do now with the web and smartphones. the key is to sink in, without debilitating yourself with the vast amount of choices within the GPS market, and luxuriate in some truly astonishing technology.
